Open Access Transmission Service

Golden Spread Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a public utility with limited facilities in the balancing authority area of Southwestern Public Service Company.  As of October 12, 2011, Golden Spread maintains an open access transmission tariff (“OATT”) on file with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC” or the “Commission”) pursuant to which Golden Spread will provide transmission service on a non-discriminatory basis to any eligible customer.  Golden Spread is not a transmission provider pursuant to the Southwest Power Pool Regional OATT.

Golden Spread presently maintains a waiver of FERC regulations concerning Open Access Same-Time Information System (“OASIS”) requirements.  In lieu of an OASIS page, Golden Spread is required to post certain information concerning the rates, terms and conditions of transmission service on its corporate website.  All questions concerning transmission service over Golden Spread facilities should be directed to:
